Lean Lead
This new role will be instrumental in driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Process Mapping and Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes and workflows across operational and non operational activities (e.g. USV operations, data collection, post-processing,). Identify areas for improvement, eliminate waste, and streamline processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lean Methodology Implementation: Introduce and champion Lean principles and tools, such as value stream mapping, Kaizen events and standard work, to drive operational excellence.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to measure process performance, identify trends, and inform improvement initiatives. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and achieve operational goals.
- Change Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement change effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximizing employee buy-in.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising quality or safety. Implement cost-saving initiatives and track their impact.
- Quality Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance data quality and accuracy through process improvements and standardized procedures.
Requirements: Essential Skills, Attributes & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma certification and proven experience in Lean methodologies and process optimization.
- Proven Operational Excellence: A minimum of five years’ plus experience driving improvements within a complex organization.
- Change Management experience: Evidence of driving multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast paced environment with evolving requirements and timelines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Leadership and team motivation capabilities, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong change management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
- Demonstrated excellent strategic and analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and business acumen; strong judgment in navigating and resolving competing situations
- Proven Adaptability: Ability to juggle multiple projects, thrive in ambiguity, and deliver results. Incredibly organized and resourceful; able to juggle and multi-task, with an attention to detail and follow through even in ambiguous situations
Desirable Experience
- Black Belt certification.
