Overview
- Support project survey data collection and processing. Collecting and processing the data to a high quality, efficiently.
- Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsibilities will include:
- Online surveying on projects remotely and in shifts
- Assisting senior surveyors with Survey Planning
- Assisting with maintaining the administration related to daily activities and calibrations
- Quality Control – monitoring of the data being captured using online survey tools and feeding back to senior surveyor.
- Assisting senior surveyors with assessment of survey results and adjustment of survey plan as required.
- Data processing and quality control of survey data, creating final deliverables to a high standard.
- Prepare reports and produce data for delivery within stated deadlines
- Small tasks befitting the running of the survey department.
On occasion this role may involve:
- Onsite support on the projects
- Planning and undertaking aerial drone surveys.
- Managing and maintaining Quality, Environment and Health and Safety standards including update, implementation and management of all ISO processes as appropriate to the role.
- Implementing, maintaining, managing and updating all standard operating procedures and processes appropriate to the role.
Requirements: Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience
- Hydrographic Surveyor Qualification
- MBES Survey Experience (hydrographic survey and assets inspections).
- Strong computer literacy (Configuration of sensor equipment required).
- Enthusiastic, positive and proactive nature with a keen attention to detail.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in data acquisition, processing, interpretation and reporting of bathymetric data.
- Experience of marine survey data acquisition and processing software (e.g. QPS softwares, BeamworX softwares , etc.)
- Relevant marine qualifications such as Yachtmaster, Coastal Skipper, ICC (or equivalent).
- Monitoring site tooling and consumables levels.
- Follow standard operating procedures and company maintenance processes appropriate to the role.
- Maintaining high levels of organisation and cleanliness whilst carrying out maintenance tasks.
On occasion this role may involve:
- Conducting general maintenance of vehicles and trailers.
- Being responsible for training other team members to the required standards, including coaching and mentoring of others.
Requirements: Essential Skills / Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ expertise as Marine Engineer or Technician.
- Strong mechanical fitting ability with experience of marine engine/generators.
- Significant industry experience in a similar role.
- Keen interest in marine activities.
- Hold full clean drivers’ licence with BE licence minimum.

Desirable Experience
- Small Craft Experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Approved STCW Engine Course (AEC - MCA).
